The governance system of the derivative asset protocol dYdX has adopted a proposal to move to version 4 and use DYDX as the main token for the project's private blockchain. The vote closed on September 4 on the Snapshot platform and received almost 100% support from the community. The proposal, initiated by Wintermute, received 36 million votes in favor from 392 addresses, while opposition was minimal with only 43 votes from 4 addresses. 2️⃣ Australia Rejects Crypto Regulation Bill. The Australian Senate's Economic Legislative Committee has rejected the "Digital Asset Management Bill 2023" proposed by opposition senator Andrew Bragg. Instead, they recommended that the government "continue to consult with industry on developing appropriate digital asset regulation in Australia." The committee said the bill lacked detail, certainty and was inconsistent with the government's approach. The bill is "inconsistent with international regulations'' and raises "real concerns about the abuse of regulation and its negative impact on industry," the bill said. 3️⃣ Binance continues to lose another senior employee amid legal difficulties. Mayur Kamat, Binance's global head of product and design, recently resigned. Kamat also confirmed his departure, saying that he left Binance for "personal reasons."
